The Holtes of Aston, Warwickshire, whose estates were situated near Birmingham. Sir Charles Holte, a personal friend of King Charles I, who built the mansion known as Aston Hall, at which place he entertained the king after the disasterous battle of Edge Hill. Aston Cantlow is a village in Warwickshire, England, on the River Alne 5 miles ( km) north-west of Stratford and 2 miles ( km) north-west of Wilmcote, close to Little Alne, Shelfield, and Newnham. It was the home of Mary Arden, Shakespeare's the census, it had a population of 1,, being measured again as at the y: England.
